What is Google AdWords?

Google Adwords is a CLICK PAY PAY ADVERTISE Platform (PPC). Unlike other PPC platforms like Facebook, Adwords actually offers advertisers of two basic ways to reach people: 1) through Google and 2) search network through the Google display network.

While this approach is functionally very different, both use the PPC offer system, where advertisers submit offers to have their advertisements shown to the relevant audience.

The Google search network allows you to display your advertisements to users who are actively searching for the keywords you have chosen. If you have a landscape business, you offer you so that your ad appears every time the user type “Landscaper in Tallahassee.”

As you can imagine, this “text ad” is an excellent opportunity to capture users who are in the research and purchase stages of digital sales funnels. Text advertisements are marked with a small “ad” tag next to the site’s url.

Google’s display network works differently. Instead of showing advertisements to users who are actively searching for online products or services, “advertising display” or “banner advertisements” are placed on websites that you think your target will be active.

Because they are not actively looking for what you have to sell, people usually tend to click on banner ads. Who are saying, sometimes people don’t know what they want until they see it, so that displaying ads can help you get in front of potential customers who might never find your own company.
